Show Photos

Our daughter, Anne Marie, took great photos at the show. I had them printed today and will put in a photo album for our guild's history.

We've had a busy weekend with a graduation Friday night and a party yesterday. Today we took a nice drive along part of the St. Lawrence River. The north country is a beautiful place - we're blessed.

It's Over

The photo above shows some of the projects that will be taught at our September Quilt Camp held at Wadhams Hall in Ogdensburg, NY

A few Challenge entries.

Our 8th Biennial Quilt Show is now a part of guild history. It was a wonderful weekend. The quilts, wall hangings, challenge quilts and other entries were amazing. Our guild members are extremely talented and diverse. First reports call the show a success. We had 499 signatures in our guest book. We wonder how many viewing the show did not sign in.
Chloe Ann and I are collecting our thoughts and asking for feedback from committee members and vendors.

The show was a group effort. We're a great team!

Many photos were taken throughout the weekend. I'll start posting more soon.

Mighty Pines 4-H Club

The Mighty Pines 4-H Club will be demonstrating their projects on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. They'll be making "Bears and Binkies". It's wonderful that our youth are interested in sewing. Be sure to check their table out.

4-H is the youth development component of the Cornell Cooperative Extension system. 4-H helps young people from rural and urban areas explore their interests and expand their awareness of our world. It provides opportunities to develop a greater sense of who they are and who they can become as contributing citizens of our communities, our state, our nation and our world. This mission is achieved through research-based educational programs of Cornell University and an ongoing tradition of applied hands-on/minds-on experiences that develops the heads, hearts, hands and health of St. Lawrence County Youth.

Counting Down...

The Quilt Show is five days away.......Yikes!!

We'll be working like beavers Friday night tweaking it all, but I have faith that with our members help it will be a great show.

Clarkson University has construction going on. The main Clarkson entrance will not be available. There will only be one entrance open to Cheel. Signs will be posted for direction. Clarkson University does have a map posted on their web site that is helpful as well.

If you have any questions, give me a call at 315-265-3126.

Boutique Reminder

I'm posting this again as a reminder to members to bring items for the boutique......
Our show boutique promises to include a unique assortment of items donated by guild members including fabric, quilt books, quilt magazines and quilting gadgets. The sale of some items will benefit the guild and help with their community service projects. Our guild members will also be selling many of their own homemade items. Guild members, Mary Snell and Muriel Testani are heading up this committee.

Mary and Muriel working on marking items last night. A member dropped off items to me last night. Very nice patterns and books. I know they'll be some great bargains.
